Samantha Schofield

Samantha Schofield is a Brooklyn based producer who enjoys working on short commercial form content, film and digital based narrative storytelling, and documentaries. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production with a minor in Producing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

A formative experience at the FAMU 35 mm Director/DP program in the Czech Republic set the stage for what has been a relentless few years of production. In Prague, she was the sole American producing counterpart on 13 short films, all shot on 35mm film in the span of 24 days (2 days a film). A dean's list recipient, she spent her last summer of college interning for Vice Media Group to which she returned after graduation as a Program Coordinator for Vice TV.

Samantha still produces various other projects that merit her passion and attention, most recently concluding a festival circuit for a short documentary film titled, Luisa, directed by Aukai Elkaslasy. The short had its New York debut at the NYC Short Doc Festival in November of 2023 and has also received recognition from the Berlin Arte Festival, NYC International Films Infest Festival and the Budapest Movie Awards Festival.

Samantha is currently in post production with a documentary short entitled, Kalu, a continuation of a mini-series of shorts covering small businesses owned and operated across multiple generations and with the Psychological Narrative titled, Respect for Acting. Directed by fellow NYU classmate and OTN partner, Oliviero Plazzi Marzotto, the film promises to dive into the extremes an actor’s craft will take them. Both of the projects will debut on next year’s festival circuit.
